Rucks Rucks

AI providers

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This list is part of the Rucks Privacy Policy (section 7). Rucks sends your requests and travel information to the companies below only with your AI permission, given when you create your account with the signup acknowledgment or in the app, and only what each request needs. You can turn it off at any time (Profile → AI permission). Two lookups run without that permission, and each company's line says what they send: what's on in a city (Home and city pages) and a city page's history. They carry a city, its country, a week and the language you read Rucks in, never your name, your account, anything you wrote or your memory.

The conditions. Rucks changes AI models often to give better answers. A company is added to this list before it receives anything, and only if it does not train on what it receives. Every AI request goes to OpenAI directly: no other company in between, and no fallback to another company.

If Rucks ever wants to use your information for a new purpose, or with a company that does not meet these conditions, it will ask for your permission again in the app.

The list

  • OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.). Directly, for every AI request: answers in Ask and the web chat, Discover's reflections and recommendations, reading the booking emails and calendar events you connect, turning lists you paste into places, keeping your memory up to date, and voice conversations (your audio and the conversation). It receives each request: your words and the travel information that request needs. Without the AI permission it receives only what city lookups need: the city (where your phone is, your home city, or a city you open), its country, the week you look at and the language you read Rucks in, with public web text about that city, to list what's on and to write the city's history.
  • Tavily. Web searches. The web chat on rucks.ai sends it your question. To find what's on in a city, Rucks sends it two searches made of the city, its country and the dates: events that week, and any national election that month. The city is where your phone is or your home city (Home), a city you open (a city page), or the one you ask about (Ask and voice, only with the AI permission). The searches carry no name, no account and none of your words.

What they keep

Providers can keep what they receive for a limited time to run and secure their service. This is not a promise of zero retention. The health details in your Travel Profile are never sent to any of them.

Changes to this list

  • October 11, 2026: every AI request now goes to OpenAI directly. OpenRouter and Anthropic are no longer on this list and receive nothing. Tavily's line now names both of its searches.
  • October 10, 2026: the first list.
